What rule do you wish someone told you on day one?

When it comes to diagnostics, be as least intrusive as you can be. The simplest explanation is usually the problem or as I like to say K.I.S.S keep it simple stupid. Also try to tell apprentices. Look at a perfectly functioning car. What’s the data look like, that way you have a reference point. I spend a large part of my time looking at data and service information before I ever touch a tool.
